Cycling with my wife

I don't really want to turn this into a cycling blog, but so far, it almost looks like that is the direction I'm headed.

Don't worry, I'll still keep everyone updated on the gaming and coding in my life, but cycling will now just be a part of my blogging, as much as it is now a part of my life.

Including Sunday, I must have done about 60km's on the bicycle this week.

Believe me though, compared to some of the people out there, it's nowhere as much as you think. Still, it is an impressive looking number For me at least.  read more »

Case in point: DRM breaks Gears of War for PC (Updated with apology)

Gears of War broken! Not too long ago, I wrote a blog entry regarding games and restrictive DRM.

As if to prove my point, I have a colleague at work who has complained that his game has stopped working.

Please note, his is an original copy of the game that he bought at a local computer store.

CD-Projekt, the developer and publisher of The Witcher, a PC-based role-playing game, have announced a new digital distribution service called Good Old Games, which is scheduled to go live in September this year.

Another one bites the dust

Master Chief All right, another game finished on the Xbox!

This time around, I finished Halo 3, the third (and some think final) in the series of Halo games developed by Bungie Studios.

It took me quite a while though, but one thing I can say about Halo, is that this is really a game where the story is epic. There is no other description for it.

Everything you do feels bigger, better, more refined than both the Halo games before it.  read more »

RTS-mode on!

It looks like I'm in an RTS mood (mode?) at the moment. I've started playing StarCraft at the office (after hours, of course) and I finished the single-player campaign of Dawn of War this weekend. Going to start the Dawn of War: Winter Assault expansion sometime this week.  read more »
