The FIFA 2010 World Cup

South Africa has hosted a successful FIFA Football World Cup. Spain have been declared the winners, lifting the trophy for the first time, after competing in their first World Cup final as well.
This was certainly a spectacular showcase presented by our beautiful country.
It was a World Cup of winners, a World Cup of losers, a World Cup of controversy and a World cup of new records.

FIFA should consider TV referees

Granted, most of the time these referees have got a very difficult job ahead of them and 9 times out of 10, they excel at their job. It's easy to see why they are the best.
When they do make incorrect calls though, the world sees it.

Sick over a weekend... At least there was sport
Submitted by Tiny on May 25, 2009 - 08:47.I hate being sick. What's worse though, is being sick over the weekend. You get two days that you get to rest, unwind and relax before the rat race for the next week starts again.
Now, you end up lying in bed, nose all blocked up, ready to hurl at any moment. Lying down watching Top Gear reruns. At least Jeremy Clarkson makes me laugh... even though it hurts to laugh. read more »
Games, Life and Squash

And I spent it the way it should be spent. Gaming.
I almost finished Zelda: A Link to the Past on the SNES this weekend. Also, I had a LOT of time to play Albatross18 this weekend and I finished three 18-hole courses last night alone. Made lots of money to upgrade my character with! read more »
Chris Benoit and family found dead

Chris Benoit has died at the age of 40.
Him and his family were found dead yesterday at their home in Fayetteville in the state of Georgia at about 2:30 PM EDT.
The sad news is that police in Fayetteville are treating the incident as a murder-suicide. read more »

It's not really my line of expertise, but it's starting to irritate me just a little and I'm sure it's also irritating other South Africans.
Apartheid has been over for quite some time now, but some people still feel threatened by the white community in our country. read more »
