I've been staring at this page for more than a year now. I have posted a lot of interesting information and invited some friends to blog as well.

I think it's time for a redesign.

So be on the lookout for a new version of Geekworld... once I have figured out how to update to the latest version of Drupal without breaking everything else...

I missed it (by almost a month!) but rather late than never!

Geekworld is officially one year old.

I made the first post on the 28th of April, 2007.

I started this blog hoping it would be a place where I could share, opine, vent and just plain talk about stuff that interests me.

In less than a year, I also opened it up for a select few friends who might have the same reasons I have for putting words on the 'net. So that other people might read them. Hopefully they have enjoyed it as much as I have.  read more »

But I'm almost done!

Apart from a hectic weekend, helping family move house, etc, I had some time to do the major part in preparing the site for new bloggers. I promise that the next post will the welcoming post!

No, I haven't forgotten my promise to open up the site to a few selected bloggers by the end of the month.

The bad news is, that the site won't have a redesign ready like I planned. With database servers falling over and other such fun things happening to me, there just hasn't been time.

But I will have a few edit friendly tools installed and I will TRY and finish the style guides.

I've received two offers to help with Geekworld. These are people that I know and at least one of them can speak English. I hope the other one will use a spell checker!

I've taken a look at the security and since I've tightened that, I haven't had any more "incidents" with people advertising V!@gra or C1Ali5 or other appendage enlargement medicine.

I've set a deadline for myself. I will try and open the site up to selected bloggers by the end of August.

Here we have a site where you can come to for the latest news on pretty much every geek topic known to geeks... and then some!

I will be blogging on this site, telling you about people I've met with or interacted with. I will tell you about life, my job, cool gadgets, software, hardware, programming, projects that I'm busy with and much more.
