The race card again?

Let me start by saying this: I am not a racist!

The scary thing is, I have been so conditioned by defending myself every time I say it, that I still feel guilty when I do say it. Why is that I have to defend myself because I have a white skin?

Strike all you want

I can understand why people strike. And while it is generally a nuisance to most of us when the taxis strike (traffic wise) or when public service strikes, it stays being just that. A nuisance.

Yes, there are people who use the taxis who are affected by violence or intimidation tactics. I'm not trying to downplay them. I'm saying, in my personal perception, that not as many people are affected by those strikes as what you would like to think.  read more »

First SA Blogger fired

That has got to be a strange feeling indeed. Fired for blogging. For voicing an opinion.

Ex-sub editor at the Sowetan, Llewellyn Kriel has blogged about his experience as the first South African to get axed for blogging.

Reading through his article made me think about a few things. Does a judge in today's courts even know what a blog is? Do they have enough tech-savvy to be able to handle a case like this?
