Chris Benoit has died at the age of 40.

Him and his family were found dead yesterday at their home in Fayetteville in the state of Georgia at about 2:30 PM EDT.

The sad news is that police in Fayetteville are treating the incident as a murder-suicide.

They suspect that Benoit first murdered his wife Nancy and then his 7 year old son, Daniel over the weekend. They also suspect that he committed suicide later, maybe only on Monday morning.

Authorities were dispatched to his house after family members have received "strange text messages" from Benoit over the weekend. They found the entire family dead on arrival.

I hope it's not true that he killed his family. I understand that some people don't do well in the public spotlight or that they feel very stressed being in the public eye all the time, but murdering your entire family? That's a bit much.

Then again, celebrities try to keep their private lives to themselves and the public can only guess what goes in their private lives.

We can only guess what went on in his life to have him do something like this.
