You what?

Had an interesting thing happen to myself and my friend today.

Marco was giving me a lift to the offices where we work. After standing still at a traffic light for a few seconds, next thing we know, we get bumped.

Not hard, but enough to move us about 10cm or so forward.

Not a good way to start a Friday morning.

What happened next though, is too good not too share.

We both pull our cars off to the side, put on hazards, etc.

Marco immediately starts taking pictures with the cellphone of the other drivers' registration numbers, etc.

The driver looks at the bumper of our Polo. In passing I ask the guy: "So what happened buddy?"

Without skipping a beat (which probably means he was honest!): "I sneezed..."

Yes, he sneezed, evidently letting his foot slip off the clutch and making the car surge forward.

Strangely enough, one of the people in the other car had the audacity to tell Marco that "it wasn't his fault". Wonder whose fault it was then?

No visible harm done to the car really, so no harm no foul. We told the other driver we must just exchange details in case there was anything wrong.

Next thing we know, they drove off!

Thankfully we have those photos of the cars...

Marco and I have been speculating though. The guy looked a bit 'spaced out' if you know what I mean. Maybe he wasn't trying to avoid us, but rather the authorities?

Still a classic line though: "I sneezed".

Classic! Def sounds a little

Classic! Def sounds a little suspect though.

Good thing you weren't having a minor operation at the time, and when you wake missing half your kidney and a lung, ask what happened and the doc says "Sorry, I sneezed!" That would be a really, really bad way to start a Friday :)

Haha!

That would be scary!

Let's hope there aren't too many doctors out there lighting up before a big op!

Did he sneeze?

That's weird! I did not know that a sneeze is to dangerous.
