Sick over a weekend... At least there was sport

I hate being sick. What's worse though, is being sick over the weekend. You get two days that you get to rest, unwind and relax before the rat race for the next week starts again.

Now, you end up lying in bed, nose all blocked up, ready to hurl at any moment. Lying down watching Top Gear reruns. At least Jeremy Clarkson makes me laugh... even though it hurts to laugh.

What was good though was that this was a good weekend for sport. First off, the Bulls went through to the final in the Super 14 where they will play the Chiefs.

In cricket, the Deccan Chargers took the DLF IPL T20 trophy this weekend, enjoying victory over the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.

Jensen Button took the checkered flag at Monaco this weekend in the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

All in all, a very good weekend for sport. Also, this week is a another good sporting week, with the Champions League final on Wednesday, where the power-house Manchester United will face off against the pragmatic club, Barcelona. Some big-time names in this game!

Finally, with my sporting life, I have decided to cycle to work on Friday. I will leave my laptop at the office the previous day and, come rain or shine, I will get onto my cycle and go to work.

I am hoping to do this at least once a week (for now) while slowly moving towards my ultimate goal of cycling to work at least three times a week. I'll let you know on Friday how that went!

In any case, I am now at the office, with my head feeling like it could explode at any second. So I better jump to work, work hard and maybe I can leave early... just maybe.
