The road to recovery

I just had my first real plate of solid food.

Nothing much, but yonks better than the ProNutro I've been living off for the past few days!

I was lucky enough to experience very little to no swelling at all, due to the fact that my surgeon recommended a good dose of laser-based physiotherapy not 20 minutes after the procedure. I can tell you with all honesty that it works really well.

I was also telling my wife how amazed I am at the way hospitals work in these modern times.

I was booked into the ward at about 12 in the afternoon. From there I was wheeled into surgery just after four. I was in recovery by quarter to six, and my wife took me home just after six, just in time to watch 7de Laan as well. How amazing is that?

On to another topic though, this weekend I found a bargain bin filled with Xbox 360 games at a local Incredible Connection.

The games were going for R50 each!

So I bought two.

Obviously, these are not the latest and greatest games and the selection was rather limited, but I felt that I got my money's worth.

I bought Amped 3, which is a fun snowboarding game that is also reasonably family friendly seeing as I need to consider my nephews who want to use my Xbox as well. For myself though, I finally bought myself an RPG game for the 'box. I got Enchanted Arms, which, from what I can see on the cover, looks to be a fun game.

So far, that's all I've been able to do though. Look at the cover.

That's because the same day I bought these games, my television decided to croak.

How does that saying go? It never rains but it pours.
