the US government does.
At least, that's the story according to Alex Jones. Jones is the owner/author of the "controversial" website Prison Planet.
Basically what he's saying is that the collapse of the Twin Towers was not and structurally could not have been the result of planes crashing into the buildings. The actual cause of the collapsing towers was the detonation of strategically placed bombs within the building.

They knew about the attack, and not only let it happen, but made it worse, to be able to promote a war, to be able to have "undercover" control of the oil there???
In the end it's all about money...

Conspiracy theories are dangerous grounds, because there is so much you can speculate on, but so little to prove.

In this case "their records" refer to the records of the event that had to be declassified (i.e. become public property and thus available to the public).
Quite strange...
I've seen quite a few conspiracy theories (and even subscribe to one or two myself *grin*) but this one is definitely out there!
I know how the US people are
I know how the US people are about terrorism so I don't see why they would want to cover up the explosions unless the us government set off the explosions...

That's the point of the article. Think about how the world has changed after 9/11. Now think about the implications of the changes if it had indeed been the US government setting off the bombs...
Alex Jones has been labelled as a conspiracy theorist, but he says that all his claims are based on research. He makes a pretty strong case.
The problem is that there's not much we can do about it, other than be aware of it. Which makes me think...
